Cyrik earned their Master’s in Library Sciences from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign in 2022, beginning work for Cunningham Township Supervisor’s Office the same year. Before their involvement with Cunningham Township, Cyrik worked in Digitization Sevices at the University of Illinois at Urbana Champaign to provide access to library materials during the pandemic when many students and faculty were unable to return in person due to COVID-19.

Cyrik began their work at township as a Program Assistant by helping manage the Rental Assistance program and providing support behind the scenes with the Homeless Management Information System, social media, email blasts, grants reporting, communications, statistics, and French translation of township materials. Now a Data and Grants Coordinator, stays primarily on the back end of township programs providing support and guidance in grants management, records managent, program tracking and reporting. Variously referred to as the local “data wizard”and/or”warlock”, Cyrik brings to their work a deep passion for the conscious management of data – striving to ensure that data is collected and used in a way that serves a humanizing role in the organization and leads to tangible improvement of services to the community that Cunningham Township Supervisor’s Office serves. They are dedicated to professional improvement for themselves and others, and have been known to volunteer trainings to staff in order to share skills and promote cross training in the organization.
