Originally from South Carolina, Brittany Tuten moved to Illinois in 2021 to attend the UofI, after earning her Bachelors in International Studies and Spanish. While working toward her Master of Social Work, Brittany began as an intern at CTSO with the General Assistance Team. She also assisted with grant applications, program evaluation, as well as spearheading the Food Assistance program during her internship. After graduating and earning her MSW in 2023, Brittany began working with CTSO full-time, providing case management to homeless individuals and families seeking housing, as well as maintaining her role supporting Food Advocacy.

Today, Brittany serves as a Case Manager to our Housing Navigation and SASS programs, as well as serves as a liaison between USD 116 schools and supports with grant reporting within the office. Brittany also provides application assistance and follow-up services to Spanish Speaking clients applying for Rental Assistance.
