Careers in Motion applications will open 4/20/26. Applications will close Thursday, 5/21/26.
Careers in Motion is a 12-month program that provides workforce readiness training for people struggling to find employment. Through this program, participants receive training in job readiness, financial literacy, and various other life skills.

Careers in Motion is a 12-month program designed to help individuals gain the skills, support, and confidence needed to enter the workforce and achieve self-sufficiency. 100% of participants are offered employment. 18 participants served by the program. 60% of participants were homeless. Services Provided: Job readiness and employment support, Financial literacy training, One-on-one coaching, and Supportive services. Main Requirements for Eligibility: Must reside in the City of Urbana, Must make under $500 monthly, Must be able to work 20 hours per week. Applications are due May 21st, 2026. The Careers in Motion Program provides eligible Cunningham Township residents with guaranteed income, supportive services, and the tools needed to achieve self-sufficiency and become workforce ready.
This 12-month program offers income support and services to township residents with very low or no income who are able to work at least 20 hours per week. Funded entirely by Cunningham Township, the program is reserved for township residents.
