CTSO partners with 43 partners in service delivery to our participants:
Continuum of Service Providers to the Homeless
Provides a convening and coordinating body, funding recommendations, and referrals for services. CTSO’s Supervisor serves as Vice-Chair of the CSPH Executive Committee.
Champaign County
Provides ARPA funds for Bridge to Home. Currently negotiating use of Brookens Administrative Center at future home of Neighbor Center, a one stop community development center for Champaign County.
Champaign County Emergency Management
Coordinate closely before and during severe weather events. Provides linkages to Red Cross materials. Participates in the Outreach and Shelter Committee of CSPH.
Champaign County Health Care Consumers
Provides Medicaid, TANF, SNAP, health care, and prescription drug navigation and direct assistance.
Champaign County Regional Planning Commission
Provides and receives referrals for emergency housing and rapid rehousing. Partner in Rental Assistance Coalition. Coordinates care for homeless families.
Champaign Urbana Public Health District
Providing expansion emergency shelter space. Provides health care, immigrant services connections, and well baby/reproductive health services. Participates in the Outreach and Shelter Committee of CSPH.
Champaign Park District
Provides leadership and garden space for the Solidarity Gardens initiative.
City of Champaign
Provided funds for homeless street outreach vehicle (2023), pass through SMASS funds (2024-2025) and hotel expansion in severe weather.
City of Champaign Township
Coordinates in providing emergency housing, referring residents for CTSO programs.
City of Urbana
Providing HOME ARPA funds for 2023-2026 with a focus on rental assistance. Provides referrals of residents experiencing homelessness due to property condemnation. Responds to crises with CIT trained police officers.
Crisis Nursery
Provides referrals, crisis child care, and support applying for child care.
CU at Home
Partners in providing referrals between programs. Participates in the Outreach and Shelter Committee of CSPH. Provides warming and cooling space.
CU Schools Foundation
Participates in the Homeless Families round table. Provides short term hotel stays and referrals to CTSO.
CU Trauma and Resiliency Initiative
Provides staff training. Supports families impacted by community and gun violence.
CU MTD
Partners in providing bus passes for program participants. Participates in the Outreach and Shelter Committee of CSPH.
Cunningham Children’s Home
Partners in providing referrals between programs. Participates in the Outreach and Shelter Committee of CSPH.
Friend in Me
Provides management and staff via contract to fill gaps in homeless services.
Greater Community AIDS Project of East Central Illinois (GCAP)
Provides shelter to those who are experiencing homelessness, while also having a positive diagnosis for HIV/AIDS.
HOPE Center
Provides food pantry items for CTSO’s Sharing Table food delivery service.
HOPE Fair Housing
Receives, investigates and intervenes in alleged Fair Housing violations by property managers.
Housing Authority of Champaign County
Provides Sponsor Based Housing Voucher via referrals from CSPH. CTSO provides supportive case management for residents at Pinewood. Partner in CTSO’s Housing First program which pays subsidized rent on behalf of CTSO’s General Assistance participants who struggle to pay rent. (See MOU HACC)
Illinois DHS
Emergency Solutions Grant and Emergency and Transitional Housing Grant provider.
Illinois DCEO
Grant for property acquisition and renovation for Bridge to Home in FY24 State of Illinois Budget.
METCAD 911
Participates in the Outreach and Shelter Committee of CSPH. Coordinates closely during severe weather and other emergency events.
Pavilion
Participates in the Outreach and Shelter Committee of CSPH. Provides referrals to CTSO and coordinates care.
Promise Health Care
Participates in the Outreach and Shelter Committee of CSPH. Provides referrals to CTSO and coordinates care.
RACES – Rape Advocacy, Counseling & Education Services
Provides crisis counseling with priority for homeless residents.
ReCompute
Provides support refurbishing devices for township participants.
Refugee Center
Provides language, legal, and logistical support for refugee participants.
Regional Office of Education
Participates in the Homeless Families round table. Provides short term hotel stays and referrals to CTSO.
Rosecrance
Participates in the Outreach and Shelter Committee of CSPH. Partners in providing referrals between programs.
Salt and Light
Serves as a site for CTSO’s Education and Employment Opportunities Program.
Sola Gratia Farms
Provides leadership, technical assistance, a drop off site, and thousands of pounds of fresh produce for the Solidarity Gardens initiative and Sharing Table food delivery service.
Unitarian-Universalist Church of Urbana Champaign and the LGBTQ Welcome Team
Helps LGBTQ+ participants navigate shelter options as it relates to safety and affirming identity.
United Way of Champaign County
Provides delivery of food and toiletries via its program Ride United. Participates in the Homeless Families round table. Participates in the Outreach and Shelter Committee of CSPH. Funds short term hotel stays for families.
Uniting Pride of Champaign County (UP Center)
Provides peer groups, referrals for counseling, events, and other services for LBTQ+ participants, training for CTSO staff, and serves on LGTB+ Advisory Committee.
University YMCA of the University of Illinois
Provides language, legal, and logistical support for immigrant participants.
Urbana School District 116
Close collaborator. Provides referrals, office space at the schools, and funding in FY23. CTSO provides a Housing Case Manager in the schools.
Urbana Free Library
Provides space for CTSO Help Desk and Digital Navigators Program. Provides printing, faxing services.
Urbana Park District
Provides scholarships for youth and adults to access Wellness Center, camps, and programs. Provides leadership and garden space for the Solidarity Gardens initiative.
